Every week on Monday morning I deliver a new session as a part of my weekly program The Way. On our call from Aug. 16th I shared with the members how they can get into the habit of Letting Go Of What You Do Not Need.
Why is it even worth it to let go of what you don’t need? and what does it have to do with your business?

Well, when working with the subconscious mind, there are obviously aspects that are hidden from us, aspects that we are not conscious about, and once you become aware of what those aspect are, you can clearly see that they have a great deal to do with where you are today in terms of your business, finances and overall success.

So I’d like to share with you a bit of what I shared on this session:

There is stuff, physical things in your space, that you do not need. It might be things that once you used and now you don’t, or things that are "souvenirs" of some sort that are just occupying space, things (like papers) that you mean to file or take a look at, but you never get to do so. All of those have energetic vibrations, all of those are affecting you without you being aware of what they are doing to you, how they might hold you back.

When you look at your life and your business from a holistic point of view, you cannot afford to have things in your space that don’t support your growth, create momentum, or allow you to thrive.
You may acquire expensive training, hire great coaches, take significant actions, but as long as there is an area that you neglect, that area is the one that can take everything that you build and cause it to stay stagnant and you frustrated.

As we all know things carry emotions for us. Every physical thing that we have in our a space have a story.
Recently, we sold on eBay our cellersizer (rebound machine). We used it for a couple of years and in the last year or so both my husband and I are exercising outside of our home. Since we both work from home we realized that it’ll be better for us to not exercise at home. After making that adjustment we didn’t really make the adjustment in our physical space and in a way the cellersizer was stuck there. Then every time I passed by it, it bothered me even on a conscious level, and we decided to let go of it, because we didn’t need it anymore.

So let’s move to some solutions here. There are a few questions you’d want to ask yourself in order to start and get into the habit of letting go of what you do not need.

Which area in your home causes you
to feel aggravation?

Which feeling do you experience when
you take a look at that area?

What are the physical objects that cause you
to feel that way I feel?

And please, don’t overwhelm yourself. I am sure you’ll find that there is more than one area, but I recommend you start with the one that aggravates you the most, because by letting go (or more likely de-cluttering) that area, you’ll feel so much better, so much. And when you feel better, you have more motivation to do what needs to be done in your business and daily life, you can breathe, you can have space, emotional and physical space.

Let me give you an example:
The area that I feel the most aggravated by is my office.
The feeling that I feel is overwhelm and lack of focus.
The physical objects are the papers, sticky notes and pile of papers that seem to be an integral part of my office.

OK, so you clarified that, now you want to open your planner and schedule a block of time in which you will de-clutter, put in shape, and especially let go of what you don’t need.

Please come back to my blog and place a comment, let me know how you feel and what has opened up for you as a result of letting go of what you do not need.

Oh.. and make sure to put on some music that you really like when you are doing that, so you can also enjoy the process.

We all have those negative thoughts that creep in. Even though you might have meditated today, slept well, even exercised, negativity awaits in the corner like a good old loyal friend that is always there for us (like it or not). So if we would look for a moment at negativity as a friend (just for a moment) then maybe, just maybe, there is a reason why this friend is always (or almost always) there for us.

In my work and personal evolution I have bumped into many moments that I have perceived as negative. We are meaning-making machines, and, since we are, why not choose a meaning that is more positive and empowering?

As I was going through my NLP training in 2007, I learned a profound way to shift one’s thinking. I am not talking here about "positive thinking" but about "neurological repatterning". Meaning that the simple technique I am going to share with you (and you’ll be flabbergasted by how simple it is), actually shifts the neurology in our brain because of its intimate connection to our thought processes, to our feelings, to our motions and movements, even to the very words we choose to use.

I want to show you how to do this but first I’d like to share with you a little story.

There was a time that I felt ready for my husband to propose to me. I spent time in resentment and frustration because he didn’t, and the way the thought appeared in my mind was:

“It is taking him too long”

So I used this conversion technique that I am about to show you, and started to come up with ideas of how I could give it a different meaning, and here is what came up:

"He wants to stay with me for the rest of his life
so he is preparing himself for that”.

“He loves me so much and he is preparing
a very special proposal for me”.

About 3 weeks after I did this conversion technique,
I got a proposal from my wonderful guy.
It was on a hot air balloon in Snowmass, Colorado.

(The 3 pictures above were taken on July 4th 2007. The view was asstoning, the ride was magical. It was the two of us and the pilot, John. The other hot air balloon was another group that was flying close to us)

Later on my husband shared with me that he made the decision to propose to me in February, but because he wanted it to be so special he preferred to wait and propose in July when we would have our vacation in Snowmass-Colorado.

I was amazed not only with how much this conversion technique allowed me to be at peace in the present moment, but also to manifest such a reality that, in a way, was even better than my dreams. Two dreams came true in one day. The flight in a hot air balloon and the marriage proposal.

The Engagement Ring.

The ring was designed especially for me with the infinity sign
(the name of my business is Infinite Realities, Inc….)

OK, so here is the conversion technique:

The way to do this conversion technique is to use it as a replacement, meaning every time that your mind goes to the negative, you ask yourself:

"What’s another way of looking at this?”
(That is more positive)

When we have more options, we know where to go. Our mind knows where to go. When we don’t have options we don’t know what to do, so we go to the default, and if the default is negativity, then we visit it too often.

If you are not sure how to convert your negative thoughts, then let this blog be your platform in learning how to find another way to look at the same thing but not through glasses of negativity.

Feel free to post here a sentence that describes the negative "thing" (just one sentence, not a story. Take a look again at the example I gave above), and I will offer you a few options that will shift your mind to think a different way.

Good luck and enjoy the shift.

Everyday I find myself in a position where I need to make choices. From what I’ll cook for dinner, or where we’ll dine out, to where to invest my time and money and what would be the next step in my business.

For as long as I can remember myself, each time prior to making a choice there were a few things that were important to me:

- That I’d feel complete about it.

- That I and others would be happy about it
(meaning, that I don’t intend to hurt anyone,
  even though some people
   feel hurt).

- That I’d feel that because of the choice I made, even if I am not excited about it at that moment, I know that in the holistic picture, it is THE choice I should make.

I call it: "Making Powerful Choices". Because when I don’t make choices in that way, I feel disempowered, and I don’t live my life being disempowered, my goal is to be empowered, to feel good, to enjoy my daily work and endeavors.

Lately, there were many choices I needed to make. It was very challenging for me to balance all of the variables in a way that made me feel empowered. One of the lessons that I learned was that it is not so comfortable for me to be in the unknown, and that’s exactly why I had this burning desire to make a choice, and an empowering one.

I had to be willing to step out of my comfort zone and to allow myself to be in the unknown. It wasn’t easy. One of the things that helped me to go through this period of time was to set an intention that would keep me focused. Since every day my default mind wanted to make the choice and get the instant relief that I have one less thing to decide about, one less thing to take off of my to do list, I didn’t want to go through another week in which my brain would scan again all the variables (it was so tiring), only to find that it was not yet the right time nor the right place to make that choice.

So I set this intention:

Trust that the right choice will be made at the right time.

Every time that my mind started the race again, I would stop, take a deep breath, and remind myself of my intention. I wrote the intention on a 3×5 card, put it on my bathroom mirror and practiced this intention for a whole week. After that week, this intention became a natural part of my thinking. Meaning it became a part of who I am today. I didn’t need to feel uncomfortable anymore in the unknown, it was much more OK because I was in a space of trust.

Then the time to make the choice came and the three aspects of making a powerful choice were still present. I felt that I was exactly where I needed to be, and I felt that a powerful choice that was working holistically with the big picture of my life has been made.

Sometimes, when we want something to be done or get over with, and we don’t give ourselves the permission, especially as an entrepreneur or an independent business owner, we tend to make choices that are not leading us to where we would like to be. Like attending another week-long seminar instead of taking action in our business. Or perfecting a presentation instead of making calls and booking a time and place to actually deliver the presentation.

After all, the only way that is right for you, is right for you, and sometimes you need to get out of your own way in order to find the right way.

It is true that being focused is another habit that any business owner that intends to succeed should embrace. I will write about the habit of being laser focused in one of my next blogs. Meanwhile please leave your comment and, if you like, any input on a choice you’d like to make that right now doesn’t feel so empowering. I’ll be happy to shed some light on it for you.

I know what you mean. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to get my SEO (search engine optimization) going. So I set an intention to attract the right vehicle and the right people that will teach me how to do that.

In Nov.2009 I got an email from my good friend Terri Stallcop recommending me to check out this brilliant idea that will help me with my goal. I took a quick look at the video and after less than two minutes I got hooked with the idea! Since it was before the holidays, I saved that email and made a note to myself to take a look at it when I come back home to CA from visiting my in-laws in VA.

And so I did. On the first week of January I set the time and pulled back up the email that Terri sent me. I took a close look at the video tutorials and listened to the audios and just saturated myself with the information that I got more and more exited about.

And then I took action and decide to enroll to one of the brilliant ideas that are out there at this point in time in terms of SEO, syndications and bookmarking. If the words I just mentioned are a bit foreign to you then no worries. Here is what it means in simple language:

If you have a blog, or you want to have a blog then you are probably very interested in having other people reading it (the more the merrier, right?) but you don’t know how to bring this blog in front of more and more people.

So SEO, syndications and bookmarking are the internet vehicles that will help you to bring your blog in front of many other people. The beauty is, that this system that I am talking about will actually do those three tasks for you AUTOMATICALLY!! without you needing to manually distribute your blog in different sites.

In simple words this revolutionary tool called SYNND, makes it possible for me to outsource my marketing to 800+ people worldwide in Less than 2 minutes! Cool, isn’t it?

I figured that I will never be able to compete with that. And I admit, I had my ups and downs with SYNND (like with every relationship ha…ha…). There were weeks that I was not working the system therefore the system was not working for me (like everything else in life…) but it was amazing to check google analytics on weeks that I did press a couple of buttons.

Here are two snapshots of my goggle analytics from a week that I posted a campaign that ran throughout the world:

In the snapshot below you can see that the visits to my blog jumped to 21 hits/visits for that day.The blue portion of the pie refers to people who came to my blog through Referring Sites (the 65%). I was not the one who brought them to the site, SYNND did.

And in the snapshot below (which is very similar to the one above), again, 21 hits/visits in one day, that is better than zero, 2, or 3 hits/visits a day. And again, I didn’t do it SYNND did.

So I am learning that when I put SYNND into work, my blog gets traffic. I am planning to be more consistent so each day I’ll get 21 hits/visits or more.

21 hits a day over a period of time means:
In a week that is - (21×7) 147 hits/visits.
In a month that is - (21×30) 630 hits/visits.
In 3 months that is - (21×90) 1890 hits/visits.
In a year that is - (21×365) 7665 hits/visits.
Can you imagine what this kind of machine can do to your blog (business/sales/marketing)?

I wanted to share that with you because I am very excited about this discovery. It’s like compound interest. That is the power of SYNND!

What I mean is, putting structures in place that are like the golden goose. You invest once your time (not necessarily your money, although you could and in many cases you should) and then you get paid over and over and over again.

Don’t get into this narrow mind of "But I don’t know how" to stop you. It is extremely simple and it is really under your nose. If you have a computer connection, you are already blogging, tweeting and posting that you can do it to. Maybe you are landing on my blog because you have been using positive affirmations for a while, or visualized, mediated and prayed to have more money and not another job, well you should recognized when the answers to your requests are showing up.

The stream of passive income that you can start immediately without any capitol and without too much time on your part is affiliate marketing. Yes it will take you a few minutes or a few hours (all depends how much knowledge you have at this point), but is is so worth it.

Someone who I really appreciate is Mike Klingler. This guy has put together video tutorials that guide you through each and every step of how to put together your marketing funnel. So when you want to promote your affiliate links, you do it right, and you make money out of it.

In this free video (worth every minute of your time if you are trying to create a stream of income through the internet) Mike shares how to plan so all the variables of your business (and a passive income structure of affiliate marketing can be that other business) will fall into place. Mike says that if you have a clear plan like the one that he is showing you, you will succeed. Take a look at this video ASAP. I don’t long how long he is planning to keep this video up here for free like that. Here it is again just <a href="http://www.sz.marketingmerge.com.

Enjoy you multiple streams of passive income.

PS: I suggest you use Internet Explorer, sometimes FireFox is not bringing up the page (in case you have too many protections, it happen to me, even though I knew the source).

It is almost every day that I get to meet and talk to people that have TOO MANY THINGS ON THEIR PLATE. I used to be like that. Without really noticing it, my schedule would fill up. I (meaning, my ego) was very excited. I felt like I was an important person, someone who really takes action and is moving things forward.

Some things did move forward, but I found an additional "friend" joining along. The name of the friend was OVERWHELM. And that friend brought along unhappiness, frustration, lots of muscle tension and other stuff.

Being in the self-development field for 12 years, I wasn’t willing to live like that. To run from one place to another, to lose things, to not breath and to crave for relaxation.

So I started to take a good look into the eyes of the beast. I said NO MORE TO OVERWHELM! and then I stated it in a positive way (click here to learn about how to design a positive affirmation that works). I am intending to be relaxed and peaceful throughout my day.
That meant:

1. Saying no thank you to certain activities.

2. Not packing my day planner with activities that didn’t leave room for breathing.

3. Incorporating meditation, visualization, exercising, or reading a book for a few minutes each day.

That also meant presenting these questions to myself ON A DAILY BASIS:

1. What is important to me?

2. How can I create this today from a place of joy and relaxation (vs. pushing and being stressed about it)?

3. Which tool from my Self-Development Tool Box can I choose to use today (to learn more about this tool box click here)

And today I live this way – there is significantly less stress in my life, less uncertainty, and more serenity, peace and joy. So I ask you to ask yourself those 3 questions, and if you are finding that all the things that are on your plate are so crucial and important, then you are probably not realizing that you are addicted to "doing", that you cannot possibly be in a mode of "Not Doing"… Remember that after all we are human beings NOT human doings. If you relate to that, then what is actually happening to you is that your subconscious mind is trying to communicate with you – the one who is supposed to be conscious. But because you are so overwhelmed, you just don’t hear the message. In one form or another its telling you: "Please, let’s go back to being a Human Being".

It probably wants to tell you to take a deep breath, to slow down, to reconnect with what is really important to you, and to re-evaluate. And start fresh, start with a small (but very significant step), start with setting an intention every single day, that TODAY you are intending to operate from a place of peace.

In fact let me give you here a 7 day system for setting a daily intention that will help you to get out of overwhelm:

Monday:
"I am intending to take a deep breath with every decision I make today".

Tuesday:
"I am intending to say no thank you where I find it appropriate today".

Wednesday:
"I am intending to be in a state of peace throughout my day".

Thursday:
"I am intending to stay in touch with what is important to me".

Friday:
"I am intending to hold all day long the belief that there is more than enough time".

Saturday:
"I am intending to allow myself to enjoy this day".

Sunday:
"I am intending to trust that I am in the right place at the right time".

If you wish to see things shifting in your life, more free time, more money, more clients, more health, then start listening to what the friend named "OVERWHELM" is trying to communicate to you…

My biggest realization was that if I am overwhelmed, I am most likely getting off track, because I am constantly occupied with trying to get on track. We get back on track when we have balance in life,;running like a chicken without a head will not get you closer. Go back to become the chick that is breaking through the egg and wake up each morning finding your body and head connected.

Be happy and practice relaxation and come back to share how things are unfolding for you.

You probably heard about the mind body connection. But have you heard about the connection between your handwriting and your subconscious mind?

Our handwriting comes from the central nervous system and goes back to it. It is motivated by a subconscious ideomotor response. Handwriting is a very powerful tool that allows us access to the subconscious mind, in both directions, meaning, when looking at a persons handwriting we can analyze their behavior, their personality traits and character. Also what is going on currently in their lives mentally and emotionally, what’s on their mind, how they respond in certain situations and more.

When I created the Success-Shift™ Affirmations, it was after I had experiment with affirmations for several years. I learned form different people, followed their guidance and each time tweaked it based on what I discovered. I didn’t continue doing what was not working, but I knew that this tool is very powerful and I wanted to develop something that was both simple ans easy to use as well as quick and powerful.

One of the main things that I discovered about 3 years ago is writing the affirmation (the right affirmation, not just and "OK" affirmation) with your none dominant hand. I used to write affirmation every night 21 times (the see affirmation), I would fall asleep in the middle and I could see how easily I can be discouraged and stop doing it, it just took longer. It still work, but it always works better when you are consistent with something and writing it one time with your non dominant hand might look wired (you don’t need to show it to anyone) but it’s quicker and acts like an injection to the mind. Bypasses the conscious mind and goes straight into the subconscious mind.

Then after you’ve done the affirmation in this way, you fall asleep, holding the image in your mind of the affirmation as if manifested in your life and you dive into your dreams. That’s where the magic is really taking place (learn more).

The most important time to condition your subconscious mind is right before you go to sleep. If you noticed in the last hour before you hit the pillow your focus is not that sharp, you might start yawning and if someone will try to convey a complicated idea to you, that involves more than just a couple details, you will probably would have a challenge to grasp it and you would prefer to talk about it tomorrow.

The reason that all that is happening is because your mind is getting ready to move from a conscious state to an unconscious state, so you can fall a sleep. That stage is actually called hypnosis. (Definition of hypnosis)

Everyone goes through a stage of hypnosis just before going to sleep. When someone is in a stage of hypnosis their suggestibility is heightened, meaning that whatever they suggest to themselves i.e. thoughts, suggested by another, whether it’s a book, a movie, T.V. spouse or you name it, it is pretty much going into the subconscious mind.

Like everything else in life there are pros and cons for that heightened state. I’ll start with the less good news: When you allow an external source that you do not necessarily trust to suggest any kind of message or idea to you when you are in a state of hypnosis (BTW, it can be also when you drive the freeway and listen to the radio) what happens is that what you are hearing, viewing or seeing becomes the truth for you.

So it is best that you’ll found out if the source is reliable and what is the source’s agenda, by doing that you will actually take yourself out of hypnosis and you’ll be awaken to what is really going on. And I am not talking about choosing a hypnotherapist, I am talking more about commercials that will suggest you buy things you don’t need, too much bad news that will cause you to be depressed and your own repetitive mind chatter that you tend to beleive to.

The good news is that you can take advantage of this powerful mind of yours and at the time that you are going into a natural hypnotic state, the time that I mentioned earlier, right before you go to sleep, you can suggest to yourself whatever you desire to be, have or do in your life.

Here is how it works:
When we sleep our mind goes through 3 stages. Each stage has it’s own importance. After all our mind’s need to process the information that we gathered throughout the day. Our mind is an information processor. When we sleep, our mind’s make order, it takes all the necessary information and stores it in to "folders". Yet it is not a ways storing the information where we want it to go. for example, if lately you have not been doing financially so well, and your mind will store it in the folder of "Manifesting Future" vs. the folder "Learn From The Past" then you might find yourself getting the same unwanted financial results. Therefore we need to help our mind to store the information in a way that will be in alignment with our desires, not just let it do it’s thing, or load ourselves with a lot of intellectual information but not with the information that will affect our daily behavior and our real world results.

Here are the 3 stages.

The First Stage – Wishful Thinking Stage.
The mind is wishing for this request to happen.

The Second Stage – Predictive Stage.
We want to be ready in life for what is about to happen to us, so that we will not be surprised. If, for example, we are programming our mind to earn more money, we need to prepare ourselves to be able to contain the change, so in this stage we “digest” the information, and we start to “see” (predict) the future.

The Third Stage – Venting stage.
This stage functions like the recycle bin on your computer. It throws out the information that is not serving us any longer through symbolic dreams.

This cycle of these 3 stages is taking place between 3 and 4 times at night. If the lesson has not been learned or the dream was not interpreted correctly, there might be more dreams that will try to vent out the information that is stuck in the mind. It’s like deleting information but leaving it in the recycle bin, so it is still in the system.

Why is it SO IMPORTANT to feed your mind
with positive, uplifting, empowering information
just before you go to sleep?

Because our minds processes FIRST
the LAST information that came in.

So if you fed yourself with bed news it’s like eating junk food. Now your mind, instead of focusing on a good night sleep, need to process all the negative information and only then if there will be time and room it might focus on something that you really wish to be, do or have. You don’t need to wait for the left overs of your mind. There is a simple and very effective way to utilize the time before you go to sleep (click here).

But there is a little secret that you must know. The secret is in how to use an affirmation in an effective way. There is a big difference between feeding your conscious mind with affirmation vs. your subconscious mind and when you don’t know the difference you might do the work but not see results (To learn more about the difference click here). With affirmation it is all about reprogramming.

There are a couple of things I’d like to share with you that will make the use of affirmationst so simple for you and above all will allow you to enjoy your manifestations sooner than later (or not at all…).

The first thing is
KEEP IT SIMPLE!

And this is what I mean by that:
If you’ll focus just on one affirmation vs. trying to change your whole life with many affirmations at one time, there is a greater chance that it will work for you!!

Think of it like a laser beam. If you project a laser beam into one specific location and you keep it there for a few seconds, the laser beam will cut through it. (watch the power of a laser beam)

The same thing with focusing your mind on a single powerful affirmation and projecting it to your mind at a very specific time (more about the time below) and in a very specific way.

I’d like to share with you the affirmation that Marla designed for herself (based on the guidelines she downloaded here) and the results that occurred for her:

The affirmation:

"I trust the adequate job for my needs is revealed to me and acquired by me."

Marla wrote this affirmation down every night as instructed for about 10 consecutive nights. In addition to that she kept sending a few resumes each day to different companies that she was interested in getting an interview with.

The Results:

Within less than two weeks Marla shared with me that she found what she was looking for. The hours, the flexibility, the distance from home, many variables worked for her. This affirmation came after 5 months of searching for a job that will both fit her needs and pay according to her expectations. Marla actually got more than what she imagined besides that Marla got a mentor that will guide her personally how to model his system so Marla wouldn’t need to go through too many loops while getting into her new role.

So you see, Marla understood the power of a single affirmation. She followed the simple steps (click here for the step) and she produces results.

So basically all you need to do is:

1. Think of something that you’d like to see changed in your life.

2. Write it down in the most concise sentence possible.

3. Rewrite it in a positive way, in the present tense and make it empowering (to learn more how to make it empowering click here)

4. Just before going to sleep (why? Click here) write the affirmation you designed with your non dominant hand (why? Click here).

5. Repeat the process for the next two weeks (unless what you wrote has already changed and now you can move to a new affirmation).

Enjoy, and please come back to share
with me how it worked for you.
Request to interview the coaches when you sign up to a program that includes coaching — don’t throw your money away.

What to do now after we released the block? Because if they don’t, you will be left with a great story, but you won’t know how to proceed and truly become wealthy.
