So I am back from Kauai and finally had the time to reply to your comment Lynne. It is interesting. I am obviously still translating certain words from Hebrew. The common way to call a gecko in Hebrew is "a lizard" but the correct way is like you mentioned here: "gecko". Thanks fro bringing it to my attention. Thanks for reading my blog ;-) See you soon, very soon.

On your up-coming trip, (tomarrow), you will learn that you were afraid of the lizard. but, in fact, that was not a lizard at all. It is a gecko, not the dreaded lizard. Their personalities are totally different and in the culture you are about to experience, they are concidered good-luck. You've shown me today how quick we all are to label something incorrectly, and then take those mis-understandings to heart. It takes time and commitement to discover the reality, and then even more from ourselves to seperate it from our pre-conceived ideas.
The book..the cover.... who knew????? Always keeping me thinking. Love ya!

Nice post Sigal,

It reminded me that every thing that comes our way, if you choose to accept it, is a lesson.

Take care!

Sigal,

Thank you for sharing your experience. It was a wonderful way to start my Saturday....make the most out of whatever happens in life but enjoy it for what it is. We have two choices we can look at the negative (the noisy bed, the litter, the lizard) and complain and made you and your husband miserable or you could look at the positive beauty of the sounds and sights around you for what they are....God's work.

God Bless,
Trish

We need to be greatful for whatever happens to us, or whatever situation we find ourselves. I really enjoyed your photos. The sunsets were beautiful and I even enjoyed the lizard. Have a wonderful life.

To your success,

Thanks for reading it. It's funny, I didn't even think about asking my husband or anyone else to take the lizard out...I guess I figured it will go out by itself, after all it is more afraid of us than we are of it :-)

Thank you for sharing your challenges with us! I do not think I would have been so gracious about it all, Ego I guess. On the other hand, I have had to deal with "stuff" in the past and presume I would have done much the same as you did to make the best of it all.
I LOVE the pictures and thank you tremendously for sharing your thoughts and the photos with us. However, I think I would have had my Husband get the lizard out...or someone do it.
Again, thank you for sharing this exciting experience with us!

Sigal, you are a shining light.

Just sharing your beautiful thoughts, experience and photos gave us an opportunity to be in that moment with you.

Thank you for again reminding us how we can appreciate situations that sometimes disappoint us .
