What To Do When You Feel That You Cannot Afford What You Want

Piggy bank-looking atWhen you want something that you feel like you can't afford, what should you do? The first place to start is by putting all money concerns aside.

By doing that, you're eliminating the stress or the challenge, the worry or the fear about where you are going to get the money from in order to invest in what you want.

Money is energy and many times we don't get what we want, not because we do not have the money to acquire it, but because of a different reason that may not be known to us.

Money Is Energy.

When we are willing to look into the truth of what is really going on beyond the money concerns, many times we find out that it is not about the money, but it's about something else.

When we put the money concerns aside and really look into that "thing" that we wish to acquire, whether its knowledge, a service, a product, a treatment, a gift or anything else, we are than able to become more creative by finding ways to get what we want.

There Is Something That You Do That Blocks The Flow Of Getting What You Want.

You see, many times when we tell ourselves that we cannot afford a certain thing we are actually holding ourselves back. Because by doing so, we convince ourselves that we are not able to afford it or that we currently don't have the money to spend or invest in what we want at that moment in time. We essentially have put a limit on any possibility for it to be revealed to us. We have blocked ourselves.

I, too, many times have wanted things in my life where I felt that I did not have the money to acquire them. And there are still things that I would like to have or enjoy and I still feel at times that I don't have the money for them as yet… but I no longer focus on that.

Instead this is what I do: first of all, I don't dwell in the "I can't afford it" internal or external conversation. I ask myself the question that will help me to get what I want. And the best question is "how CAN I get this?"

Dwelling or Worrying About Money Is Only Holding You Back.

In order to be in that space and not dwell in worry, hopelessness, negativity or feeling like you're doomed, the first thing you must remember is to put the money concerns aside. Don't give it too much room to control you, to tell you that you can't have or do whatever it is you want to do.

After you are able to put the money concerns aside, the next step is to ask yourself some questions that will open your path to move forward towards what you want.

Questions like:

"Why do you want that thing that you want?"
"What is your Why?"

"What would it do for you if you have it or you do it?"
"How would your life look if you would have or do it?"
"What would it provide for you?"
"Why must you have it?"

It is very important that the answer that you come up with is not ego-based. The universe does not help us so much to feed the ego. However, the universe responds to a true need.

So if you have a need for healing, for example, and you found a way to help yourself that really resonates with you, you also know that this is your way. However, you feel like your current finances are not exactly where you would like them to be and you tell yourself that you are not able to afford it. What you've actually done is blocked yourself; you have prevented the opportunity for healing to enter your life.

Our progress in life, our happiness, our joy, our healing is always available for us but in order to get from one side of the fence to another, we do need to let go of something and embrace something else.

So what I invite you to do is to let go of that limitation "that I can't afford it" or that "I don't have the money for it," and allow yourself to tap into that space of "how CAN I afford it?"

That is of course, if you really, REALLY want what is in front of you.

Another way to look at it is in this way: if I had the money I needed to do this (or that) or to have this (or that) and more, would I still want to do this (or that) or have this (or that)? And then find your WHY.

And once you've done that, you have already set something very powerful in motion.

You declared to the universe that there is something that you really, REALLY want and that you're totally ready to have it or do it. And the universe Will say, "Your wish is my command."

Give this a test drive and see where it takes you.

Wishing you many blessings and much love and may you experience freedom, health, prosperity, happiness and love, every day you are living on this earth.

  1. Love this blog, I agree we often put blocks in our way and it's very important to look at why.
All too often we sabotage ourselves or take the easy way out by running up debt instead of dealing with our subconscious relationship to money. I was blessed to be in a situation where I could pay off my catalogue and credit card debts and then also learnt to live within my means and prioritise what I have and achieve what I really want as you know.
I feel your work in this area would help so many people to live happier, more fulfilled lives! Xx
