We, humans, are creatures of habit. We tend to repeat the same old ways of being. The way we think, the way we speak, the way we engage and interact, the way we take care of ourselves or don’t…
One of the reasons we are “the same old same” is because we may have never taken the time to clarify what we want.
But we take plenty of time to declare what we don’t want.
What do I mean?
I mean that when you have pain, discomfort, or struggle with whether it’s physical or emotional (for example, you are experiencing back pain, knee pain, stomach ache, migraine, frustration, anxiety, worry, or etc.), you most likely are thinking one or more of these thoughts:
“I wish this was gone,”
“What am I going to do with this? I don’t know where to turn anymore…,”
“Gosh, when is this going to be over?”
“I really can’t get my life going until I solve this….”
Or any other similar versions of the above, what you are actually doing, without even being conscious you are doing it, is focusing on what you do NOT want. And as you are focusing on it, you are creating and attracting that very same thing.
I‘ve been there SO MANY times myself. Seeing WHAT IS, giving it meaning and keeping the same broken record.
Sometimes we hope that things will one day change. Sometimes we are without hope and believe that it’s all going to stay the same. All this hope, only to find ourselves arriving at a dead end again.
First, you really do not need to do it alone as there are many healers, coaches, or practitioners that can help. And I am here for you. I will be happy to support you in any way that I can. Keep reading as I’ll share with you something really exciting at the end of this article.
Hope Is Great! It’s Even Greater
When You Add A Strategy.
So how would your thinking process prevail, if you focus on what you DO WANT?
“I wish this pain was gone” which is a great thought, but it still doesn’t take you very far does it, because you keep wishing the same wish day in and day out and nothing changes much.
You want to ask yourself:
“What do I want?” instead of “wishing that this pain would be gone,”
and then describe the answer.
Here are a simple, yet profoundly powerful way to do this:
Instead of (for example) back pains that you wish gone, first, get rid of the word “wish.” This puts your desire in a dreamy kind of mode, where it’s almost impossible to believe it will ever come true.
Wishing is a great start yet, unless you have Dorothy’s shoes and you live in the Land of Oz, it’ll take a little more than a wish.
Are You Creating A New Reality
Or Just Wishing For One?
What do you actually want instead?
Do you want a flexible, strong, healthy back where you have freedom to move. to stretch, and transition easily from sitting to standing?
I bet (in this back pain example) that you do.
Wouldn’t it be great that every time, when the pain shows up and you go through the “I don’t want this pain,” (in whatever version you experience it) that you are able to immediately switch to what you DO want?
You can think it in your mind, say it out load, or write it down. You can even record your voice repeatedly and each time when the pain consumes you, play that recording to remind yourself that you are clear and focused on what you want. Even if it’s not present in your reality, YET!! You are creating a new reality.
Look, your pain is here to show you something. And until you get what it came here to show you, until you learn the lesson that it is holding for you, then it will continue showing up in one form or another.
My loving suggestion for you is to not let the snow ball grow. Learn how to listen to your body and take action so you can heal yourself because you really can.
A few months ago, a sweet and beautiful lady requested my help. She had been suffering from migraines for 15 years. She has tried many modalities and remedies to get rid of the migraines. Nothing worked. In fact, most of the people who seek my help have already tried so many paths and are disappointed each time. There are a couple of reasons why they have not received any results which I’ll get into in another article, but with this lady it was very simple.
We did a foot analysis and after about 10 minutes it became clear that the reasons her migraines are showing up, was to protect her because she is having hard time saying “no” to people, jobs, and opportunities which came her way.
So instead of listening to her body or her energy level, she just packs and packs her schedule with engagements. She puts herself last while she travels, runs from one place to another, and helps her friends when they need her.
Is it really a surprise why from five to seven days, once a month, she needs to turn off the phone, the computer, close the blinds, shut down everything, crawl under a blanket, and wait until the migraine storm goes away?
The migraines are here to SAVE HER. If she didn’t have that week, it would really be a disaster for her.
So we come back full circle. We are creatures of habit; we do what we do because we don’t know HOW to break the pattern. So when you clarify and focus on what you want, you’ll start noticing the haze fading, and solutions showing up and you feeling better.
