The secret to changing your life is really right under your nose. You already possess everything you need in order to bring about the change that you wish to experience in one or more areas of your life. However, I’m not saying that the change is going to happen in one day.
If you look at nature, you will find that change is a process.
A tree does not give shade on the first year after it was planted, yet over time with nourishment, light, and water, it will.
A fetus is not ready to be born into a baby’s form at the moment it is conceived. Yet over a period of 9 months, it will.
If you start looking at every kind of change you wish to experience by using this statement: My Desired Change Is A Process And I AM taking The Necessary Steps That Will Lead Me To My Desired Change, I can promise you that over time, you will get to where you wish to go.
There are two keys you must remember in this process of changing one or more aspects in your life:
- Knowing What You Want – There is a better chance you’ll achieve your goal when you know what it is. Most people talk about what they don’t want. That’s not a productive strategy to get anywhere. That’s actually a strategy that will keep you where you are presently or worse. If you don’t want to keep feeling and looking sluggish or not feeling motivated while working out or having pain here and pain there, then you must start thinking about what you DO WANT. It is simple; it is the opposite of what you just read. You want to feel and look toned. You want to feel motivated to workout. You want to feel healthy, happy, and free in your body. That’s what you want, right?
To achieve that, there is another thing you must be sure is in place.
- Being Consistent – You cannot get where you wish to go if you do not take consistent action towards that goal. For example, if you wish to become financially free, you must take DAILY action in that direction. Actions can consist of: reading about investments or business models; talking to people; deciding on the vehicle of investment that you are drawn to; opening a business and either systematizing it or hiring people; listening to your intuition; or improving your people’s skills, like dealing with rejection.
If you stop taking action towards a goal, then can you expect it to happen?
You also need to make sure that you are not sabotaging your success by being skeptical or not being open or complaining about what’s not working (I did that for many years). There are lots of variables and you may need different professionals along the way to support you, so when you stumble, when you feel down or stuck, there is someone there, someone that you like and trust to help you get back on track towards your goal.
Once you nailed down these two keys, you will be placing yourself on the right track to making the changes you desire.
It is all about your habits.
The change will happen only through changing your habits!!
Can you sit on your couch watching TV and expect to get in shape, feel healthier and toned? No, you must get off the couch and do something about it.
You can’t expect to become financially free when you have a job that you don’t like, are barely able to save money from your income, and are not exploring, learning or being open to other ways to increase your income.
The best place to start is by changing your thought process.
Identify the thought or thoughts that are holding you back and start adopting or embracing a new thought.
“I don’t know how I can become financially free. I am not making enough money in my job. I’m tired after work and can’t add another job. It’s just too much. I don’t see a way out”.
Instead, convert the above to a more positive, open-thought process. You don’t need to know the answers at this point. All you need to do is to allow them to show up.
“I am open for solutions to show up in my life. I am allowing myself to make more than enough from any source of revenue. I am entering a period in my life where I feel energized and excited many hours of my day. Each day I feel more and more free. There is always light when I am open to receiving it.”
Your Old Thoughts Patterns Are Leading To Habits That Are Not Supporting The Change You Desire.
Now, choose one habit that you know you need to change and start implementing a new habit that supports your desires. CHANGE JUST ONE HABIT!! Not 5 or 10. You want to succeed with one, feel good about it and then you’ll find yourself naturally wanting to change another habit.
For example instead of going home after work, go to the park for a 10 minute walk (keep the sneakers in your car so you do not have excuses). After two weeks, you can choose to increase the walk.
Add raw vegetables to your lunch.
Replace the sodas with water and lemon (or lemon essential oil).
It should be VERY simple.
The Key Is To Create Success With One Single Habit Before You Move To Changing Another Habit.
And if it is financial freedom goal, buy a book about the type of investment or business model you wish to explore. Maybe it’s a book about your mind-set around money (if you are worried and stressed). Each day, devote 15-30 minutes to read the book, no matter what.
Start putting some money aside every week/month. You can start with as low as $10 and then build up. This can be your investment money. You may invest in education, a program, property, stocks, internet business, or an MLM company. You don’t need to know what it is, yet. What you need to do is start putting money aside so when you do know you are prepared for it.
